Community Building
People actively join and recommend communities where they find value, feel a sense of belonging, and have fun.
I'm a passionate community builder because real transformation only happens when people feel safe to be vulnerable, curious, and collaborative. Seasoned leaders, interns, tech nerds, and business executives can all belong to the same space and learn from each other.
It's about creating spaces where a technology person can finally understand their business counterpart, where someone making a 2-hour drive feels the investment is worth it, and where participation becomes irresistible not because it's required, but because it's genuinely valuable. When you permit people to share openly without judgment, you don't just build a community, you build bridges that change how work gets done.

Sometimes building community means hosting formal events.
Not every meaningful connection happens in weekly meetups. Sometimes you need to bring hundreds of people together for multi-day experiences that create lasting memories and industry-wide impact. These larger gatherings let us tackle bigger conversations, celebrate milestone moments, and give people stories they'll share for years. Here are a few of the most impactful events I've been honored to host:

Celebrating 20 years of the Agile Manifesto in the DC, Maryland & Virginia area.
3-day event with over 500 people served.

The planet is calling and needs our help. 3rd annual event, 2 days serving 600+ people across the globe.
AgileDC is the largest Agile community-organized event in the Washington DC metro area. Board member for 5 years, serving 1,000+ people.
